CALL FOR EXPERT SERVICES - POLICY AND LEGAL REVIEW

Disability Rights Watch is a human rights and strategic advocacy organisation for persons with disabilities registered in Zambia under the Persons with Disabilities Act. The organisation uses evidence-based advocacy to influence policy and legal reforms that work towards the improvement of quality of life of persons with disabilities through enhanced protection and realisation of disability rights.

With its consortium partners under the Collective Action for Disability Rights (CADiR) Project, the organisation is seeking the services of an individual expert to undertake a desk review of the National Policy on Persons with Disabilities 2025 and its implementation plan. The purpose of the review is to ascertain the extent to which the policy gives effect to the objectives of the Persons with Disabilities Act 2012 and any other domestication instruments of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The expert is expected to generate recommendations for legislative review, policy coordination and programme improvement.
