Mental Health Users Network of Zambia (MHUNZA)

Disability Rights Watch has a long term partnership agreement with MHUNZA for technical support to inclusion of persons with mental and psychosocial disabilities in all programmes and policies. Disability Rights Watch developed their advocacy strategy and also established their monitoring and evaluation system and supports their programme monitoring and provides training to its members and partners in advocacy and mental health in relation to the UNCRPD. DRW develops project proposals for MHUNZA and helps them with donor compliance.

 


 

Zambia Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities (ZAPCD)

Disability Rights Watch has a partnership agreement with the organisation to provide services for programme development and management, legal support and monitoring and evaluation. DRW trains parents of children with disabilities and their children on their rights in relation to the UNCRPD. The organization also developed the ZAPCD strategic plan.


AHDI logoArchie Hinchcliff Disability Intervention (AHDI)

AHDI recently became a partner organization of DRW through its capacity building initiative supported by Opportunity Zambia. DRW provided input into the organisation strategic plan development process and provides training in advocacy for the board, secretariat and also trains children with disabilities.

 


Livingstone Network of Disabled People’s Organisations

Livingstone Network of Disabled People’s Organisations: It is a network of six DPOs representing all categories of PwDs based in Livingstone, Southern Province. It advocates for the inclusion of PwDs in community-based development and mobilises its members for community awareness rising.

 

 


Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Zambia Support Programme

Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Zambia Support Programme: This is a programme of the Norwegian Disability Consortium. It runs community based rehabilitation programmes in Livingstone, Kazungula and Zimba and in 2020 onwards additional districts in Lusaka and provide support to national level advocacy and disability inclusion efforts.

 


Kocebuka Community Foundation

Kocebuka Community Foundation: They work on HIV and AIDS awareness and access to inclusive education for children with disabilities. They have developed a strong community volunteer group in Zimba district.

 


Albinism Foundation of Zambia (AFZ)

Albinism Foundation of Zambia (AFZ): The organization is a representative organization of persons with albinism in Zambia. It is involved in advocacy and service delivery to persons with albinism.

 

 


Zambia Association for the Education of Persons with Disabilities (ZAEPD)

Zambia Association for the Education of Persons with Disabilities (ZAEPD): The aim of this organization is to promote access to training, skills development and employment for persons with intellectual disabilities.
